Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses between the ages of 2½ and 18. A wish fulfilled is an integral part of a child’s treatment journey, helping to replace fear with confidence, sadness with joy, and anxiety with hope, while uniting and strengthening families. Together, with generous supporters, 600+ volunteers, and our staff, we have granted more than 8,500 wishes for children in Massachusetts and Rhode Island in our 33-year history. Our vision is to grant every eligible child’s wish.

We are continuing to receive many referrals for medically eligible children and our volunteers and staff are meeting with these children virtually to interview them about their wish requests. We are granting a wide variety of wishes locally, such as backyard playhouses, hot tubs, gaming systems, computers, puppies, and online shopping sprees to name a few of our local, popular wish types.
